Paleface, real name withheld by himself to uphold "the mystery" is a musician that has collaborated with The Avett Brothers on several occasions.

Collaboration Edit

In 2005 The Avett Brothers asked Paleface to help record Four Thieves Gone: The Robbinsville Sessions. Five songs written by Paleface were recorded but only "Dancing Daze" made the album. His harmonica and vocals can be heard in "The Fall" and "Denouncing November Blue (Uneasy Writer)".

In 2007 Paleface and his girlfriend Monica Samalot moved to North Carolina and joined The Avett Brothers in the studio during their Emotionalism sessions. Their vocals and music can be heard in "Go To Sleep."

Scott, Seth, and Bob Crawford repaid the favor by helping out during the recording of his 2008's self-released A Different Story. The following year Seth Avett, Bob Crawford, and Joe Kwon assisted with 2009's The Show is on the Road which was released on Ramseur Records.

In 2009 Paleface assisted in the recording of "Slight Figure of Speech" for the album I and Love and You.
